What you'll do

  • Perform power systems studies including but not limited to Grounding studies, short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protective device coordination, ampacity, harmonic, and power quality analysis.
  • Build and maintain system models for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and collection system configurations.
  • Size and route medium voltage collection system cable under established design criteria.
  • Prepare study reports, calculation packages, and support project documentation.
  • Automate repetitive calculation and data handling tasks to improve study turnaround.
  • Perform studies for utility-scale generation and interconnection facilities.
  • Follow IEEE, NESC, NEC, and applicable utility grounding requirements on all assigned studies.
  • Check calculations and model data against QA/QC procedures before submitting work for review.
  • Comply with company, industry, and jurisdictional safety standards and practices.
  • Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.
  • Work under the direction of more senior staff.
  • Present study findings and open technical questions in internal project meetings.
  • Support senior engineers in client and utility discussions on grounding scope and results.
  • Share study methods, templates, and lessons learned with other engineers on the team.
  • Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned or directed.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Foundational understanding of power systems concepts, such as grounding design or renewable energy systems.
  • Experience in power distribution, generation, transmission, solar PV, or energy storage environments.
  • Advanced English proficiency (approximately IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+, or PTE 76+), sufficient to draft technical reports and collaborate with US-based teams.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, approximately 3 PM to 11 PM IST.
  • Knowledge of power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF, or similar is desirable.
  • Exposure to solar PV, battery energy storage, wind, microgrid, or other renewable energy systems.
  • EIT Certificate is desirable but not required.
