E-commerce Business Administration Assistant | 20609

And we’re looking for an E-commerce Business Administration Assistant to start immediately!

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Handle day-to-day business administration tasks to support e-commerce operations.
2. Manage the Shopify platform, including product management, order processing, inventory, and customer data.
3. Manage multiple customer service inboxes and respond to a high volume of emails with appropriate tone and speed.
4. Provide sales support through Shopify management, CRM and pipeline assistance, and lead research.
5. Follow up on invoices and verify payments through Shopify.
6. Handle sales administration tasks, including backorders and invoicing.
7. Proactively identify business needs and take initiative to support daily operations.
8. Identify operational issues and develop solutions independently.
9. Support overall business operations with strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach.

Qualifications:

• Must be based in South Africa • Must be available to work UK business hours • Shopify experience or familiarity with similar sales or wholesale systems • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen • Strong technological proficiency across multiple platforms and tools • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate business needs • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills • Strong organizational and administrative skills • E-commerce industry experience is preferred • Experience supporting UK-based companies is an advantage • Executive assistant or business operations experience is an advantage

Technical Requirements:

• USB Headset with Noise Cancellation feature • Working Webcam • Computer with at least 1.8 GHz processor and at least 4GB RAM • Main Internet Service Speed: at least 25 Mbps cable connection • Backup Internet Service Speed: at least 10 Mbps

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM BST (Full-Time) Location: Remote — South Africa-based talent only

Salary Package:

• USD $650/month

Software Tools and Websites Required:

• Shopify • Email platforms such as Gmail or Outlook • Communication tools such as Slack or Teams • Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Word, Excel) • E-commerce tools for shipping, inventory, and analytics, as applicable

Training Provided:

• Company's specific Shopify setup and workflows • Company's products and business model • Internal processes and procedures • Specific tools and platforms used by the company • Company communication style and preferences
