Must understand container ingate/outgate, demurrage/detention, chassis management and shipment documentation (BOL/POD). Remote or office; must work Mon–Fri 8am–5pm CST to support Chicago operations; PortPro/TMS experience is a plus.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate container movements and pickups/returns/appointments to support Chicago-based drayage operations.
  • Handle operational and administrative tasks related to container transportation.
  • Ensure accurate billing and shipment documentation (BOLs, PODs, container-related documents).
  • Coordinate with terminals regarding terminal requirements.
  • Update PortPro TMS and internal systems with accurate shipment information.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of daily responsibilities.

What they require

  • 2+ years of experience in US drayage or intermodal operations (required).
  • Experience coordinating container transportation.
  • Previous experience in operations, billing, or administrative support within a drayage environment.
  • Strong understanding of container logistics.
  • Strong understanding of rail terminals and ports.
  • Strong understanding of chassis management.
  • Strong understanding of demurrage, detention, and per diem.
  • Update PortPro TMS and internal systems with accurate shipment information.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily responsibilities.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
