What you'll do

  • Lead a team against strategic objectives with focus on product design and roadmap implementation
  • Connect hiring performance outcomes back to selection methods
  • Design professional processes and frameworks for efficient delivery
  • Coach and mentor team members around analytical capabilities and thought leadership
  • Develop training materials and documentation
  • Represent the team in the absence of the Head of Talent Science
  • Work with company leaders to communicate the vision for talent at Canonical

What they require

  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a people-based subject
  • 7+ years experience in a Talent function with recruitment, selection, and analytics expertise
  • Proven analytical ability to dissect and analyse data
  • Exposure to BI tools
  • Ability to lead and drive others, including project management and coaching for roadmap execution
  • Exceptional written and spoken English with strong presentation skills for a senior audience
  • Sincere personal motivation aligned with the company mission
  • Willingness to travel internationally 2-4 times a year for company events up to two weeks long
