What you'll do

  • Provides SSU team with guidance, leadership and overall support for project delivery, communication, human resources, revenue enhancement, procedures, systems and processes
  • Supports overall management of site start up delivery via direct management and/or cross-functional oversight
  • Works with Head of Site Start Up to establish PFM SSU framework for project execution and delivery
  • Supports SSU collaboration with Clinical Operations, project management and other cross-functional departments
  • Supports corporate and departmental business strategies for PfM
  • Acts as ambassador for change management for evolution of global structure
  • Provides leadership and oversight on SSU programs including large or complex programs
  • Manages escalations and remediation of SSU concerns
  • Supports optimization of processes and delivery for profitability
  • Partners with Global Resourcing for team member assessment and management
  • Supports SSU team career development, growth and succession planning
  • Supports coordination of SSU Lead's participation in client meetings and presentations
  • Collaborates with Business Development in opportunity development, proposals, and budgeting
  • Works with global/regional leaders to support SSU project strategy and delivery
  • Develops, measures and reports SSU KPIs and leads continuous improvement

What they require

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences or related field or equivalent combination
  • Minimum of 12 years in clinical research including extensive experience of Site Start-up
  • Extensive leadership experience or proven competencies
  • Expert knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process
  • Demonstrated leadership track record
  • Experience working in team environment with resource management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and clinical software (CTMS, eTMF, EDC etc)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer service demeanor
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management and change management
  • Fluency in English
