What you'll do

  • Serve as executive leader for strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of end-to-end transactional accounting functions: AP Operations, T&E, Payroll Operations, and Order to Cash Operations.
  • Build a high-performing team.
  • Drive global automation.
  • Establish robust internal controls.
  • Lead cross-functional transformation across ERPs, HR systems, customer support platforms, and revenue operations.
  • Partner with the Head of Procurement and own the global disbursements process.
  • Direct an AP team responsible for high-volume invoice processing, vendor onboarding, 1099/1042 compliance, and operational execution.
  • Optimize P2P platforms to drive 3-way matching, purchase order enforcement, and automated approval workflows.
  • Set and enforce operational SLAs.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement leadership to optimize working capital, negotiate payment terms, and drive accurate cash outflow forecasting.
  • Deliver month-end AP close with accuracy across unvouchered PO accruals, corporate card reconciliations, vendor statement audits, and dispute resolutions.
  • Steer team operations and vendor management across enterprise T&E systems and card programs.
  • Optimize integration architecture with ERPs.
  • Own accurate, compliant, and timely execution of multi-state US and international payroll, statutory tax reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead a dedicated payroll team.
  • Drive alignment with HR Operations, Compensation, and Equity leadership for stock-based compensation, benefits, mobility, and bonus structures.
  • Command administration of payroll technology.
  • Hold payroll service vendors accountable to SLAs, data integrity, and system automation goals.
  • Ensure compliance for payroll journal entries, month-end reconciliations, tax filings, and internal payroll controls.
  • Lead and hold ultimate accountability for the AR and Billing team managing high-volume transactions across D2C e-commerce, subscription memberships, B2B enterprise sales, and retail channels.
  • Own operational execution and accuracy of unbilled receivables, consolidated AR aging, customer deposits, and credit/dunning policies.
  • Drive strategic oversight of payment gateway settlements, retail remittances, and payment recovery protocols.
  • Minimize friction and bad debt.
  • Partner with Revenue Accounting and broader Accounting leadership to build operating connectivity across Accounting.
  • Ensure O2C processes, customer billing flows, credits, reserves, disputes, and cash application activities are operationally sound and aligned with revenue recognition policies.
  • Support an accurate and efficient month-end close.
  • Proactively resolve issues before they impact reporting.
  • Champion cross-functional alignment between O2C, RevOps, Commercial Finance, and Member Experience to eliminate upstream bottlenecks, dispute spikes, and refund delays.
  • Act as executive owner for finance operational technology.
  • Drive system implementations, upgrades, and integrations across ERPs, billing engines, payment gateways, and spend tools.
  • Establish, enforce, and maintain a SOX-ready internal control framework across AP, Payroll, and O2C workflows.
  • Guarantee segregation of duties and risk mitigation.
  • Own the operational month-end close timeline.
  • Serve as primary accountable leader for external audit deliverables, process narrative accuracy, and compliance sign-offs.
  • Define and report executive performance metrics to senior finance leadership.
  • Design, implement, and enforce global operational frameworks and SLAs for third-party vendors and outsourced teams.
  • Ensure delivery quality, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency across external engagements.

What they require

  • 10–12+ years of progressive accounting and finance operations experience.
  • At least 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing AP/P2P and AR/O2C functions, and preferably Payroll.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience in fast-growing D2C e-commerce, consumer hardware, retail distribution, or SaaS/subscription-based environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with modern ERPs, billing engines, spend management tools, payroll systems, and customer service platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX internal controls compliance, multi-state payroll regulations, credit risk management, and global vendor compliance.
  • Proven track record of leading system implementations, process automation, and enterprise workflow redesigns across all operational accounting pillars.
