What you'll do

  • Lead cost accounting and inventory management functions.
  • Ensure end-to-end inventory accuracy, robust product costing, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Use Infor LN to streamline manufacturing accounting, reconcile production variances, and drive cross-functional profitability.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to cost accounting and inventory valuation.
  • Oversee standard costing, job-costing, and development of labor and overhead rates across complex manufacturing programs.
  • Perform profitability, variance, and margin analysis by product line, contract, and business unit.
  • Ensure accounting and estimating processes comply with DCAA, FAR, DFARS, and ITAR regulations as applicable.
  • Govern inventory accounting for raw materials, Work-in-Progress, and finished goods.
  • Design and enforce cycle count programs, physical inventory procedures, and ongoing reconciliation.
  • Manage inventory pegging, material traceability, and Customer Furnished Material tracking for A&D contracts within Infor LN.
  • Monitor excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory and establish reserves and mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as functional Subject Matter Expert for Costing, Warehousing, and Manufacturing modules within Infor LN.
  • Ensure synchronization between Inventory Control, Shop Floor Management, and the General Ledger.
  • Drive system improvements, data governance, and process automation within Infor LN to minimize manual reconciliations.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of cost accountants and inventory control specialists.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs for inventory accuracy and cost of goods sold.
  • Enforce and maintain internal controls, ensuring SOX compliance and audit support.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain regular and reliable full-time attendance or attendance in accordance with posted schedule.

What they require

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI DoD clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage direct reports.
  • Ability to distill complex findings and concepts into key data-points and visualizations.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Preferred: CPA, CMA, or CPIM.
  • 10+ years of progressive cost and inventory accounting experience.
  • 5+ years in a management or leadership role.
  • Preferred: Aerospace & Defense manufacturing background.
  • Preferred: Experience with engineer-to-order and government contracting is a major plus.
  • Preferred: Deep, hands-on expertise with Infor LN, specifically Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Financial modules.
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements including constantly sitting and reaching to use computers and other office equipment.
