What you'll do

  • Serve as a strategic data partner to Delegate Vice Presidents and leadership teams, translating centralized data dashboards and tools into local insights and actions.
  • Provide business intelligence and advanced data analysis to support data-informed decision-making at the delegate level.
  • Analyze key metrics related to enrollment, attendance, screenings, family engagement, education, health, surfacing trends that inform planning and performance conversations.
  • Analyze and interpret delegate progress toward school readiness goals, child outcome data, and family engagement metrics to support programmatic decision-making and planning.
  • Contribute to each delegate’s annual planning cycle by providing data insights and summaries to inform goal-setting, service area priorities, and program strategies.
  • Provide timely responses to ad hoc data and analysis requests from leadership, service area leads, and program managers.
  • Create visual summaries, presentation-ready charts, and written insights to support local decision-making, board presentations, and internal data reviews.
  • Contribute to delegate-level or organization-wide research and strategic initiatives by analyzing trends, compiling data sets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate insights.
  • Deliver ongoing training and coaching to delegate staff on understanding, interpreting, and using data and business intelligence tools effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting in support of Head Start Program Performance Standards and local licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the centralized data team to ensure readiness and accuracy of data submissions for the Program Information Report (PIR), Federal Monitoring Review (FMR), and other required reports.
  • Support the completion of the annual Self-Assessment and CEEDS-related activities across assigned delegates, including data collection, documentation, audits, upload support, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support the design, development, and refinement of standardized dashboards and reports in collaboration with centralized data leadership.
  • Support implementation and training on tools and resources and ensure ongoing usage and understanding of dashboards by local teams.
  • Promote data literacy by guiding staff in integrating data use into planning, coaching, and monitoring.
  • Lead local data quality efforts, conduct routine data audits, and resolve data discrepancies with local teams.
  • Support the standardization of delegate-level reporting and monitoring tools and participate in continuous improvement of reporting tools.
  • Work with local leadership and Directors of Monitoring & Compliance to align performance data with safety, licensing, and risk mitigation priorities.
  • Attend planning, compliance, and leadership meetings at each assigned delegate to ensure data is embedded into decision-making.
  • Support the design, development, and refinement of standardized dashboards and reports.
  • Ensure ongoing usage and understanding of dashboards by local teams, providing coaching, clarification, and hands-on technical support.
  • Lead local data quality efforts by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all delegate-level data.
  • Conduct routine data audits of delegate-level data systems and reporting processes.
  • Support the standardization of delegate-level reporting and monitoring tools and communicate needs for refinement.
  • Participate in project teams designing and implementing tools and dashboards that serve compliance and operational decision-making.
  • Maintain a service-oriented mindset, supporting data needs with timeliness, clarity, and alignment to delegate priorities.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, education policy, social sciences, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a strong asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in data analysis, program evaluation, or performance management.
  • Experience using Google Sheets, Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Head Start, K-12, or social services experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience providing training or coaching on data use, analytics, or business intelligence tools.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
