What you'll do

  • Define and execute a comprehensive EHS strategy that aligns with corporate business objectives and supports behavior based safety goals.
  • Champion and drive a proactive, zero-incident mindset and behavior-based safety culture rooted in employee engagement, transparency, and accountability across all operational sites.
  • Lead enterprise-wide EHS risk assessment and mitigation processes, specifically embedding Process Safety Management (PSM) and industrial hygiene best practices into daily operations.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and governance of integrated EHS management systems and tools, leveraging advanced data analytics and digital platforms to monitor performance, identify emerging risks, and drive data-backed corrective actions.
  • Ensure robust regulatory compliance and maintain governance over all GAF safety and environmental enterprise standards, policies, and management initiatives through proactive auditing and emerging regulation trend analysis.
  • Oversee the incident investigation and reporting process, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to conduct thorough root cause analyses and ensure effective, organization-wide implementation of preventative and corrective actions.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach EHS professionals and operational leadership, fostering EHS leadership through influence and ensuring high-quality, up-to-date safety and environmental training programs are deployed.
  • Travel domestically up to 50% to support sites.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Safety, Engineering, or a related degree field
  • 10 years EHS experience, 5 years management of others
  • Ability to effectively adapt to changing needs and priorities while maintaining a positive attitude with a focus on client success.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills leveraged to build relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills including the ability to effectively present and discuss technical information and respond to questions from employees, government agency representatives, and customers.
  • Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite Office.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa.
