What you'll do

  • Own the analytics vision and roadmap for Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
  • Define how the team measures what matters, connects analytical work to business outcomes, and drives decisions.
  • Lead, grow, and develop a team of 15+.
  • Set a high bar for analytical quality, business partnership, and career development.
  • Build a deep leadership pipeline and develop the next generation of analytical leaders at Engine.
  • Serve as the primary analytics partner to Engine’s commercial and financial leadership.
  • Translate complex data into clear, confident perspectives that influence strategy, investment decisions, and quarterly priorities.
  • Partner with Growth leadership to build the analytical foundation for customer acquisition, attribution, channel performance, lifecycle value, campaign ROI, and growth experimentation.
  • Help the team understand what drives customers to Engine and what keeps them.
  • Equip the revenue organization with insights on pipeline health, forecast accuracy, rep performance, win/loss analysis, territory optimization, and incentive design.
  • Partner with Finance to power revenue reporting, unit economics, cohort analysis, budgeting support, and company-level metrics for executive and board-level decision-making.
  • Build and continuously improve a best-in-class analytics operating model, including prioritization, stakeholder management, metric governance, reusable frameworks, quality standards, and a culture of rigorous, accountable work.
  • Define what excellent analytics looks like at Engine.
  • Elevate the craft across metric definition, data storytelling, root-cause analysis, experimentation, forecasting, and causal inference.
  • Develop analysts into strong business partners who influence decisions, communicate with clarity, and operate with ownership.
  • Identify gaps in the underlying data and partner with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering to build instrumentation, data models, and self-service capabilities the business needs to operate and grow with confidence.

What they require

  • 10+ years in business analytics, data analytics, or a related analytical function, with deep experience supporting commercial functions — Marketing, Sales, Finance, or Revenue Operations.
  • 5+ years managing analytics teams, including proven experience managing managers and leading multi-team organizations.
  • A strong track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing analytical talent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a strategic analytics partner to CROs, CMOs, CFOs, or comparable senior leaders.
  • Ability to synthesize complexity into clear, confident recommendations that drive action.
  • Strong ability to connect analytics work to revenue growth, customer value, operational efficiency, and strategic priorities.
  • You understand the commercial levers of a high-growth business, not just the data.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets.
  • Fluency with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and modern data stacks (Snowflake, dbt, or similar).
  • Experience building scalable analytics processes, prioritization systems, reporting standards, and metric governance frameworks across multiple business domains simultaneously.
  • Deep familiarity with the metrics that drive commercial performance — CAC, LTV, pipeline conversion, quota attainment, revenue retention, unit economics, attribution, and more.
  • Experience driving analytics in a high-growth, product-led environment — B2B SaaS, fintech, marketplace, travel, e-commerce, or a similarly complex, fast-moving business.
  • Preferred: Experience building analytics functions, centers of excellence, or team playbooks in a scaling company.
  • Preferred: Exposure to marketing attribution, multi-touch modeling, or growth experimentation at scale.
  • Preferred: Experience with FP&A-adjacent work, including revenue forecasting, cohort analysis, or board reporting support.
  • Preferred: Experience with A/B testing, causal inference, segmentation, or advanced analytical methods at scale.
  • Preferred: Background in travel, hospitality, marketplace, or high-transaction-volume businesses.
