What you'll do

  • Manage the final delivery stage of the pilot program by uploading fully produced video assets across various social media channels according to the editorial schedule.
  • Format, convert, and optimize video exports to meet the specific technical requirements, aspect ratios, and file constraints of different social platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Maintain a clean, organized digital workspace using FTP protocols, cloud storage, and asset management tools to ensure seamless file sharing between remote team members.
  • Assist with the technical setup, monitoring, and backend management of live streaming sessions, ensuring stable broadcasts and troubleshooting minor connectivity issues.
  • Track production timelines, keep tabs on pending deliverables, and coordinate schedules to keep the fast-paced remote team aligned and meeting daily deadlines.
  • Provide general operational support to the Senior Producer and On-Camera Host, helping to streamline workflows and solve logistical hurdles as they arise.

What they require

  • 1–3 years of experience in digital media operations, post-production coordination, social media management, or a project management support role within a fast-paced media environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and working in a remote production setup, supporting cross-functional teams (producers, editors, and hosts) under tight breaking-news constraints.
  • Proven experience managing digital assets and workflows, including formatting, converting, and optimizing video exports (codecs, aspect ratios, file sizes) specifically for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
  • Hands-on proficiency with cloud storage and file transfer systems (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io, or FTP protocols) to maintain highly organized digital workspaces for remote teams.
  • Familiarity with the brands and businesses of The Shade Room.
  • An understanding of or interest in entertainment news, celebrity culture, and the fast-moving digital footprint of The Shade Room.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven track record of managing digital workflows and scheduling deliverables in a fast-paced media environment.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of video file formats, codecs, resolution settings, and compression techniques optimized for social platforms.
  • Comfort utilizing FTP systems, Google Drive, Dropbox, or other high-volume file transfer systems to securely move and archive large media files.
  • Basic understanding of live streaming workflows and software (e.g., OBS, StreamYard, or platform-native live tools) to help coordinate real-time broadcasts.
  • Extreme attention to detail with the ability to spot technical formatting errors or scheduling conflicts before content goes live.
  • Excellent communication skills tailored for a fast-moving, fully remote production team operating under tight breaking-news constraints.
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills, with experience utilizing project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Trello, or Airtable) to track production pipelines, manage delivery schedules, and meet tight daily deadlines.
  • Basic literacy in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut) to assist with quick technical fixes or re-exports if needed.
