No BS summary

Design systems practitioner who can credibly speak, write, and build community trust while owning partner relationships and co-marketing. Must understand AI’s impact on design systems, including MCPs, AI coding tools and generative design. Posting gives conflicting location signals: US East Coast in the title/location, but the essentials say based in the UK and able to visit London four times a year.

What you'll do

  • Own the full partner lifecycle: identifying and developing relationships with SaaS tools we integrate with, emerging AI products we can integrate with, and communities where there's a natural audience overlap with zeroheight.
  • Proactively spot and shape partnership opportunities.
  • Identify co-marketing and integration opportunities beyond existing relationships, knowing when to run with them and when to bring in product — while working closely with the CEO to build and deepen relationships with key partners.
  • Design and execute co-marketing campaigns: joint webinars, co-authored content, newsletter features, event activations, and more.
  • Track and report on co-marketing campaign success.
  • Be a credible, visible voice in the design systems community — writing, speaking, and participating in our own and external communities.
  • Create educational content around design systems best practices, zeroheight, and our integrations, with a strong focus on how we support AI-driven product development workflows.
  • Work alongside our Principal Design Systems Advocate to represent zeroheight in the community — dividing and collaborating on content, events, and conversations based on where each of you can add most value.
  • Represent zeroheight at industry conferences and events — proactively identifying opportunities where our audience will be.
  • Stay ahead of how AI is changing design systems — MCPs, AI-assisted component generation, prototyping tools — and use that to inform your content and conversations.
  • Engage with communities across social, Slack, forums, and wherever practitioners congregate.
  • Work alongside our Principal Design Systems Advocate on advocacy that sits outside of partnerships — sharing responsibilities across content, events, and community based on where each of you can add most value.
  • Join sales and customer success calls to bring domain expertise and help navigate complex design systems challenges to help unblock teams, deepen product understanding, and strengthen relationships.
  • Act as a source of partner and ecosystem intelligence, surfacing use cases, emerging workflows, and unmet needs to support product marketing, product, and commercial teams, and inform partnership strategy.

What they require

  • You're a design systems practitioner — you've built or maintained one and you think like an engineer or designer.
  • Your credibility comes from having done the work.
  • You're commercially minded enough to own partner relationships end-to-end and tie your work to pipeline.
  • You're a strong communicator — equally at home writing a long-form post, presenting at a conference, or hosting a webinar.
  • You're energised by AI's impact on design systems and can speak confidently about where it's headed — MCPs, AI coding tools, generative design, and the implications for how teams work.
  • You're proactive and self-directed.
  • You identify opportunities before being asked, and can act on them by building and shipping yourself.
  • Based in the UK and can visit London four times a year for offsites (travel covered)
  • Technically curious and hands-on with AI.
  • You’ve fully embraced this space — not just observing it, but actively using and building with AI.
  • You’re comfortable creating your own tools, demos, and experiments, which gives you real credibility when developing partnerships in this ecosystem.
  • Preferred: You have an existing audience: a following, a community presence, or a body of published work that means you're already known and trusted in the space.
  • Preferred: Experience in a formal partner marketing role.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with B2B SaaS go-to-market.
  • Preferred: Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, customer success, and marketing in a startup environment.

Benefits

  • $140k - $160k + equity
  • Remote-first
  • We're fully remote (no permanent office) – everything we do is set up so working remotely is seamless.
  • travel covered
  • You already care about this. Design systems aren't a job category to you — they're something you've thought and written and argued about. This role is built for that person.
  • You bring your audience with you. We're not asking you to build from zero. You'll come in with existing trust and we'll give you the platform and resource to amplify it.
  • You’ll be right at the frontier. If you’re excited about AI and design, this role puts you at the cutting edge — building relationships with pioneering teams like Cursor and OpenAI, and spending your time where the future of design systems is being shaped.
  • You'll own something real. Full ownership of partner relationships and your advocacy programme, with a direct line to commercial outcomes.
  • You'll be joining a category leader. Backed by Y Combinator, Tribe Capital, and Adobe. Practitioners already know who we are — you'll have a springboard, not a standing start.

zeroheight enables teams to document, deliver, measure and manage their design systems seamlessly – all in one central hub.
