Abridge is seeking a Design Operations Manager to scale, support, and streamline operations for their product design organization. This role involves shaping design team operations, partnering with leadership and other teams, and leading operational planning and execution for key initiatives. The position is based in San Francisco, CA.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and land a blank slate product re-design of Abridge
  • Partner with design leadership to identify and implement programs, processes, and tools that help the team operate more effectively
  • Lead operational planning and execution for key initiatives—team-wide rituals, hiring coordination, onboarding, resource allocation, and internal communications.
  • Build and maintain scalable systems that support team growth, execution excellence, and strong collaboration across research, engineering, and product.
  • Oversee asset management practices across the design org, ensuring shared libraries, templates, and systems are version-controlled, accessible, and consistently used.

What they require

  • 8+ years of experience in design operations within high-growth technology environments.
  • A track record of building and scaling 0-to-1 operational systems across multidisciplinary teams—balancing long-term vision with hands-on execution.
  • Deep familiarity with the design and product development lifecycle—from early research and concepting through delivery and iteration.
  • Experience managing shared design tools, assets, and libraries to support consistency and efficiency at scale.
  • Vendor and contractor management experience, with a focus on enabling seamless collaboration and high-quality outcomes.
