What you'll do

  • Develop the design of sprinkler systems and coordinate with clients, architects, consultants and other trades through to a final scheme.
  • Contribute to and monitor the design programme against construction programme and specification requirements.
  • Prepare complete working drawings in accordance with design codes, including establishing pipe sizes by hydraulic calculations.
  • Issue completion documents and certification; prepare material lists, procure materials and forward drawings/quantities to suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Attend site meetings when design matters are on the agenda and carry out other activities as instructed by the Project Manager / Design Manager.

What they require

  • Comprehensive experience in a design engineering role within the sprinkler industry (essential).
  • Comprehensive knowledge and familiarity with LPC BS EN 12845 rule (essential).
  • Experience and proficiency in using AutoCAD (essential).
  • LPCB Intermediate qualification & LPCB Full Hydraulic Calculation qualification (highly desirable).
  • HND or Degree qualification in a construction/engineering design related topic (highly desirable).
