What you'll do

  • Draft Demand Packages: Prepare polished, accurate demand packages following firm SOPs and nearly ready for attorney review.
  • Review Case Materials: Review medical records, medical bills, liens, treatment history, and supporting documents to ensure demand package completeness and accuracy.
  • Negotiate Settlements: Negotiate with insurance adjusters to move cases toward stronger settlement outcomes and escalate to phone conversations when appropriate.
  • Negotiate Medical Liens: Work with medical providers to negotiate reductions and maximize client recovery.
  • Own Case Progression: Keep cases moving through the post-treatment demand stage without unnecessary delay.
  • Maintain MyCase File Hygiene: Document activity, notes, follow-ups, deadlines, and case updates in MyCase.
  • Follow SOPs: Use firm procedures consistently when drafting demands, preparing documents, and communicating updates.
  • Use AI Strategically: Use AI tools to improve efficiency while personally reviewing, verifying, and refining outputs.
  • Prepare Litigation Handoffs: Prepare the file for a clean handoff to litigation when settlement is not achieved.

What they require

  • Direct experience with demand drafting, settlement negotiations, and post-treatment personal injury case work.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with adjusters and medical providers.
  • Ability to review, track, and negotiate medical liens.
  • Highly organized, self-managing, deadline-driven, and able to own files.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Experience documenting file activity in MyCase or a similar case management system.
  • Comfortable using AI tools strategically while applying legal judgment and verifying accuracy.
  • Professionalism, accountability, and willingness to take ownership rather than shift work to teammates.
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred.
