What you'll do

  • Partner with practice leaders and the Strategic Intelligence team to evaluate new data needs, assess vendor options, and translate business needs to procurement specs
  • Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle for third-party data (vendor identification, competitive evaluations, negotiation, onboarding with data engineering)
  • Serve as primary point of contact for third-party data vendors, manage relationships, resolve issues, coordinate access/delivery, and conduct performance reviews
  • Administer and maintain third-party data licenses, track contract terms, permitted-use rights, data-field restrictions, and reporting obligations
  • Guide pricing and cost-allocation models for firmwide use of data assets
  • Identify ways to rationalize the vendor portfolio, consolidate redundant sources, retire underutilized contracts
  • Build centralized vendor inventory (contracts, licensing terms, renewals, cost, usage)
  • Own vendor renewal calendar, proactively manage renewals, assess value, renegotiate terms
  • Track and enforce data use compliance, maintain audit-ready records, ensure vendor reporting requirement adherence
  • Lead project management for data operations initiatives (new acquisitions, research programs, internal programs)

What they require

  • 5–7 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, contract administration, or data operations in professional services / consulting / healthcare data
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information management, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Experienced negotiating and administering data licensing or software procurement agreements; familiar with permitted use, data field restrictions, sublicensing, audit rights, syndication for product and AI model development
  • Strong project management skills; manage multiple concurrent workstreams independently
  • Vendor relationship management including renewals, performance reviews, issue escalation and governance
  • Familiarity with healthcare data types and vendors (claims, clinical, benchmarking, market data) and HIPAA / DUA / data use constraints
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills meticulous records across a complex contract portfolio
  • Strong written and verbal communication; negotiate with external vendors effectively
  • Exposure to healthcare consulting or professional services environments is strongly preferred
