We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our team, building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers a cloud-based case management system for a major federal financial regulatory agency.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain data marts, materialized views, and data pipelines within an AWS hosted Data Lake environment
  • Design, build, and optimize data workflows and pipelines to support agency-wide analytics and reporting.
  • Monitor data infrastructure health, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and agency stakeholders to scale and support new data-driven initiatives.
  • Support compliance with federal data security requirements including FISMA and NIST 800-53.

What they require

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale data infrastructure (AWS).
  • Experience building and maintaining data marts, materialized views, or ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Familiarity with AWS data services and cloud-based data infrastructure
  • Experience maintaining and migrating relational database environments (PostgreSQL).
  • Experience maintaining structured and unstructured data
  • Understanding of data security and governance in federal environments.
  • Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team.
  • Communicates clearly and openly, whether documenting data architectures or collaborating with engineers on integration design.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • In alignment with federal contract requirements, certain roles may also require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance.
