What you'll do

  • Enter, verify, research, review, and update pertinent insurance data into the computer system to reflect current/accurate information
  • Make payments to insurance companies to ensure client's interests are protected
  • Make outbound calls to clarify information and obtain required information from insurance agencies/companies
  • Research the automated matching system and make corrections to system updates on files
  • Resolve escrow disbursement discrepancies by researching the loan and contacting insurance agencies
  • Review insurance documents sent through CES that require additional research
  • Research, verify, and update status of loan insurance information including Unable to Locate (UTL) documents
  • Disburse insurance premiums through manual processes using SWBC's computer system
  • Determine if a document can be used to update or comment a loan and make necessary adjustments
  • Enter updates to insurance data promptly ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures
  • Perform data processing/customer service functions supporting the SWBC Escrow Tracking Program

What they require

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum two (2) years data entry, customer service, or related experience (preferred) — Mortgage or Banking environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of mortgage escrow accounts or homeowners insurance
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for making and receiving calls from insurance agencies
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient computer and accurate keyboard skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment such as phone system, copier, scanner
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items
  • Able to work flexible hours which may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends
  • Able to multi-task and be adaptable to change
  • Able to meet department expectation and handle repetitive work
