In this role, you will provide cybersecurity engineering expertise to protect enterprise systems, applications, and networks while supporting critical Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) functions. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing modern cybersecurity solutions, performing security engineering activities, and supporting incident response within Department of Defense (DoD) environments. Key Responsibilities Provide cybersecurity engineering support for the planning, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation of secure information systems. Analyze cybersecurity requirements and recommend technical security solutions. Support Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) operations, including incident response and cybersecurity content development. Implement and integrate modern cybersecurity technologies, including blockchain or other cryptographic security solutions. Assess security risks and vulnerabilities across enterprise applications, networks, and systems. Collaborate with DLA stakeholders to ensure enterprise-wide incident handling and compliance with DoD cybersecurity directives. Develop and implement security controls to protect both internally and externally hosted systems. Support continuous monitoring, security assessments, and cybersecurity compliance initiatives. Troubleshoot security-related issues and recommend process improvements. Maintain documentation supporting cybersecurity operations and security engineering activities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of relevant IT and cybersecurity experience. Experience implementing modern cybersecurity technologies such as blockchain or cryptographic security solutions. Strong understanding of cybersecurity engineering principles and secure system integration. Experience supporting incident response and enterprise cybersecurity operations. Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, security frameworks, and risk management processes. Required Certifications Must possess a DoD 8140/8570 compliant certification meeting: IAT Level II CNDSP-IS Required Computing Environment Certification: Microsoft Certified Information Protection Administrator Associate ( SC-400 ) Security Clearance Requirements Active DoD Secret Clearance Must be eligible for an IT-I Critical Sensitive (Tier 5) security clearance. Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive (Tier 3) clearance at the time of proposal submission. Project Overview This position supports DLA Cybersecurity by performing Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) functions, including incident response, cybersecurity content development, and protection of enterprise applications, systems, and networks. The team works closely with DLA stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity incidents are effectively managed and that DLA information systems remain secure in accordance with Department of Defense directives. Program Overview The JETS Program delivers a full range of IT services and technical expertise supporting the Defense Logistics Agency's enterprise IT environment. Program support includes: Application Development and Maintenance Cybersecurity Operations Infrastructure and Systems Engineering Technical Support and Sustainment Enterprise Operations Lifecycle Management Program Management Support The program supports DLA Information Operations (J6), Program Executive Offices (PEOs), and multiple enterprise technology initiatives across the agency. Remote Work Environment: This position is performed in a 100% remote, collaborative environment supporting government development activities. The employee will work closely with Task Order Project Manager, Requirements Analysts, Scrum Master, Developers, Testers, and Government stakeholders through virtual meetings and Agile ceremonies. Employees must maintain a secure remote workspace, use government-approved systems and security controls, and comply with all cybersecurity and data protection requirements, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
