What you'll do
- Support cybersecurity efforts across multiple projects within a portfolio
- Provide consultative support on system security certification & accreditation and ATO
- Coordinate and lead security and privacy activities within project teams
- Develop security and privacy related artifacts
- Review system/application security controls in accordance with NIST SP-800 53 Rev 4 and VA Handbook 6500
- Identify and mitigate risks to the program
- Support ATO and VA ISO/ISSO
- Resolve troubleshooting issues
- Participate in IT modernization and security architecture projects
What they require
- 15+ years of experience in related field (or degree + 10 years)
- FISMA, NIST-800-53, HIPAA, HITECH
- Experience achieving ATO for VA or other Federal Agencies
- Experience with C&A and IA processes
- Security+ or other applicable certification
- Experience with VA Risk and Governance Tool
- Experience in remote work environment
- Ability to work independently and lead collaborations
- CISSP certification preferred
