What you'll do

  • Establish the systems, processes, standards, and governance model for customer master data across the entire CareDx business, including commercial, revenue cycle, market access, digital health, and operational stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage required MDM tools, such as clearMDM, and the data sources needed to support an accurate, trusted customer master.
  • Develop and maintain trusted “golden records” for customer entities such as patients, providers, healthcare organizations, payer entities, and related commercial accounts.
  • Serve as a key business owner and data steward for customer data within Salesforce.com, supporting account hierarchy design, customer onboarding, deduplication, data change requests, and downstream commercial processes.
  • Use matching logic, data stewardship workflows, and business rules to identify, resolve, and prevent duplicate, incomplete, or conflicting customer records across CRM, billing, laboratory, and data warehouse environments.
  • Lead the initial clean-up and normalization of customer master data, including duplicate resolution, source reconciliation, standardization, enrichment, and remediation of high-impact data quality issues before ongoing governance processes are operationalized.
  • Ensure master data handling, access, encryption, auditability, and data-sharing processes align with HIPAA and internal privacy and information security policies for PHI/PII.
  • Define and operationalize data ownership models, data standards, decision rights, approval workflows, data quality metrics, data cataloging practices, and routines for governance forums that sustain data hygiene across the enterprise.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations, IT, Analytics, Revenue Cycle, Market Access, and vendor teams to manage integrations and data flows between Salesforce.com, MDM platforms, data warehouses, reporting tools, and downstream operational systems.
  • Lead initial customer data clean-up, address standardization, identity verification, completeness checks, routine audits, remediation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve customer data accuracy, usability, and ongoing data hygiene.
  • Document standard operating procedures, stewardship playbooks, escalation paths, and training materials to support consistent, compliant customer data management across teams.
  • Translate business requirements into data management solutions and communicate clearly with business stakeholders, data stewards, technology partners, compliance teams, and leadership.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer master data management, data governance, data stewardship, commercial operations, CRM data management, or related data operations roles, with direct healthcare or life sciences experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing customer, account, provider, or patient-related data in Salesforce.com is required.
  • Experience working with sensitive patient data, provider data, payer data, PHI, and/or PII in a regulated healthcare environment is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, privacy principles, access controls, audit expectations, and compliant handling of sensitive healthcare data.
  • Experience with MDM platforms or customer mastering capabilities such as Informatica, Profisee, Verato, Reltio, or similar tools; experience establishing data governance frameworks, data stewardship processes, and data quality metrics.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data warehouses or cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, data cataloging tools such as Collibra, and reporting or analytics tools.
  • Understanding of provider, account, territory, patient, payer, and healthcare organization data and how it supports commercial execution, reporting, market access, billing, and customer engagement.
  • Strong analytical, root-cause problem solving, and process improvement skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align technical and business stakeholders and create clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
  • Candidates within commuting distance of a CareDx office may be asked to come to the office on a regular basis; remote candidates will work and collaborate from home.
