No BS summary

Alpaca Health is seeking a part-time, contract consultant to help build their clinic-expansion playbook for ABA therapy practices. The consultant will advise on all aspects of opening and scaling center-based ABA clinics, from site selection and build-out to licensing, credentialing, equipment, and staffing.

What you'll do

  • Help build Alpaca's end-to-end "how to open an ABA center" playbook.
  • Advise on market/site selection, lease/LOI and tenant-improvement build-out, and ABA-appropriate floor-plan and room design.
  • Guide payer credentialing/enrollment and licensing for new locations.
  • Advise on equipment and vendor selection and how Alpaca can standardize and finance it.
  • Coach our provider partners through their own clinic launches.

What they require

  • You've personally opened and scaled multiple center-based ABA clinics (or very adjacent multi-site pediatric therapy / behavioral health): de novo launches, not just running an existing site.
  • You know the full stand-up lifecycle: real estate, build-out, licensing, credentialing, equipment, staffing, and utilization.
  • You understand ABA / behavioral-health reimbursement (Medicaid and commercial), staffing ratios, and RBT/BCBA labor dynamics.
  • Preferred: BCBA or ABA clinical-ops leadership; multi-state expansion experience; relationships with ABA-focused healthcare real estate, general contractors, or equipment vendors; comfort with compliance-first arrangements (fair-market-value, Anti-Kickback/Stark, corporate-practice-of-medicine).

Alpaca Health enables clinicians to become entrepreneurs, starting in autism care. We help clinicians launch and scale their own clinics by providing AI-powered software, payer contracting, and full back-office infrastructure. Our goal is simple: shift power in healthcare away from large consolidated entities and back to clinicians. We've raised over $14M in funding from early-stage investors like Core Innovation Capital, Adverb Ventures, and South Park Commons, and are building for long-term category leadership. More importantly, we're serving hundreds of patients, while growing 30% MoM.
