What you'll do

  • Reviewing contract plans and specifications for constructability and determining compliance of materials and workmanship by the constructing contractor.
  • Oversight of construction/renovation projects.
  • Support the construction team with day-to-day operational needs and special projects as required.
  • Support renovation projects from start to finish but not limited to administrative task as needed.

What they require

  • Must have prior experience working with tribal communities in remote locations.
  • Must have 10 years of experience in a construction engineering or technical expertise area.
  • Relevant experience in managing residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with attention to safety and quality.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, vendors, and community stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with construction software tools, scheduling applications, and standard office productivity software.
  • Experience with Federal Construction projects is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have ten (10) years relevant specialized experience in construction and/or the construction management area.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Employees working remotely must maintain broadband internet service capable of consistently supporting video conferencing, VPN connectivity, and cloud-based applications.
  • Wired broadband service (cable, fiber, or DSL) with at least minimum 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload.
  • Some positions may require minimum 200-300 Mbps download / 25-35 Mbps upload speed.
  • Cellular hotspot or fixed wireless cellular services (e.g., T-Mobile Home Internet) may not be used as a primary connection.
