Full-time, remote Community & Marketing Manager for the OSRS-focused app Hefty OSRS. You will own the community, market and grow the website, support users, and build genuine relationships with OSRS players across Discord, Reddit, X and other platforms. Requires strong current knowledge of OSRS or willingness to become an expert, plus experience managing online communities.

What you'll do

  • Act as the public face and voice of Hefty OSRS.
  • Build, manage and grow our Discord community.
  • Create and publish engaging content across Reddit, X and other relevant platforms.
  • Participate genuinely in OSRS conversations rather than simply promoting the app.
  • Develop and execute community marketing and user-growth initiatives.
  • Plan promotions, competitions, giveaways, campaigns and community events.
  • Introduce new players to the app and clearly communicate how it works.
  • Respond to user questions, feedback and support enquiries.
  • Identify common issues and work with the product team to improve the user experience.
  • Gather community insights and report on player sentiment, requests and emerging trends.
  • Monitor OSRS updates, conversations, creators and community developments.
  • Support app launches, new features and product announcements.
  • Track community growth, engagement, campaign performance and user feedback.
  • Help ensure that all community and marketing activity respects relevant platform and game rules.
  • Build relationships with OSRS creators, community leaders and potential partners.

What they require

  • Strong, current knowledge of Old School RuneScape, or an eagerness to learn quickly.
  • Some experience playing OSRS and a clear understanding of its community and culture.
  • Experience managing an online community, ideally within gaming.
  • Strong knowledge of Discord, Reddit and X.
  • Experience in social media, digital marketing, community growth or customer engagement.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to adapt your tone for different platforms.
  • Confidence engaging publicly with players, including responding to questions and criticism.
  • A creative, proactive approach to campaigns and community-building.
  • Strong judgement and the ability to communicate authentically without sounding overly corporate.
  • An understanding of community moderation and reputation management.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with product, marketing and customer-support teams.
