What you'll do

  • Analyze sales commission data and generate accurate and timely commission reports for internal employees
  • Collaborate with sales teams and finance departments to ensure commission plans are aligned with business objectives
  • Modify and improve the existing commission calculation and reporting process
  • Investigate and resolve commission disputes or discrepancies
  • Provide support to sales teams and payroll on commission-related inquiries
  • Maintain commission-related documentation, including commission plans
  • Develop and implement new commission plans as needed
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to commission analysis and administration
  • Interact regularly with leaders and stakeholders on commission payments and issues
  • Manage the commission process with little supervision
  • Complete commission calculations on time alongside tight payroll deadlines
  • Provide services professionally, with adherence to agreed timelines, guidelines, and deliverables

What they require

  • 3+ years of experience in commission analysis or a similar role
  • Preferred: Experience creating or building out calculation processes
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with large, non-centralized data sets
  • Process improvement skills and willingness to modify and improve existing processes
  • Tech savvy and able to pick up new software quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced experience within Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence and self-motivation
  • Comfortable reaching out to stakeholders for clarification
  • Comfortable pushing back on requested payouts with weak backup
  • Able to own the bonus process with little supervision
  • Deadline-driven
  • Able to work quickly and accurately Monday morning because payroll closes on Saturday and bonuses and commissions are needed by Monday afternoon
  • Contracted hours per week: 40 hours/week
  • Daily working time: 8 AM-5 PM MST
