Cloud/Backend Engineer

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Cloud / Backend Engineer to design, implement, and manage the cloud-native backend infrastructure for Ai Health Highway. You will own the architecture of scalable microservices, serverless functions, and data pipelines on AWS. This role requires deep expertise in cloud services, distributed systems, and infrastructure automation.ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridgeManage data persistence with DynamoDB, Amazon OpenSearch, and RDSImplement asynchronous communication using SQS and SNSConfigure IAM roles, VPC networking, and EC2 instances for hybrid workloadsSet up monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch and X-RayBuild and maintain RESTful APIs using Flask, FastAPI, and ChaliceDesign microservices with high availability, fault tolerance, and scalabilityImplement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) for repeatable deploymentsCollaborate with full-stack and mobile teams to define API contracts and data flowsRequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field4–7 years of experience in cloud/backend engineeringStrong debugging, performance tuning, and system optimization skillsExcellent communication and documentation skillsDeep hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and VPCProficiency in Docker containerizationStrong experience with Flask, FastAPI, and Chalice frameworksSolid understanding of REST API Design, Microservices Architecture, and System DesignNice to HaveExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Hands-on with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CodePipeline)Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormationKnowledge of Apache KafkaExperience with RedisPrior experience in healthtech or fintech domainsSkillsAWSPython (Flask/FastAPI)DockerTerraformMicroservices
