Cloud / AppDev Consultant (m/f/d)

The German Red Hat Services team is looking for an Application Developer Consultant to join us in Germany. In this role, you will work hands-on as a subject matter expert in Red Hat’s infrastructure, cloud technology and with main focus on cloud-native development with our clients. You'll answer questions about best practices around automation, reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups and lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat’s technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and outstanding performance. You will gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructures, application landscape, and business issues and you will make recommendations appropriate to their environments. What you will do: Developing common libraries and services and implementing reference implementations Coaching of client development teams in modern development methodologies Conducting mini enablements and supporting DevEx initiatives Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Serve as a subject matter expert, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs Adapt to changing customer requirements and be the trusted advisor Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions Deliver quality results both on-site or remote and post-engagement that are on time and within the scope of the assigned project, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation What you will bring: Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies on a delivery level Experience implementing container technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments Knowledge of one or more Red Hat’s infrastructure solutions like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Ansible Automation Platform Core Skills OpenShift / Cloud-native development Developer language: Java Springboot or Python DevOps skills: Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD), GitLab CI/CD Optional: Keycloak is a plus Additional Skills Observability (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo/OTEL, Grafana) Service Mesh (Istio) DevSecOps Kafka PostgreSQL Microcks OPL (Open Practice Library) JMeter Cucumber Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and lead customer interactions Understanding of the open source community Excellent analytical, problem-solving and planning skills Excellent written and verbal language skills in German and English German Level C1 and above is mandatory Willingness to travel, if needed, across EMEA Prior experience working in a consulting role or Red Hat Certifications are a plus Willingness to get security cleared is a plus #LI-MP2 About Red Hat Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
