What you'll do

  • Supports the successful implementation of various complex financial institution debit and/or credit projects through execution of various technical tasks and quality checks.
  • Leads client consultation on business and technical requirements, and incorporates the requirements into the overall project plan.
  • Assumes technical leadership role for assigned complex, highly visible client projects, coordinating all phases of operational implementation of technical project deliverables.
  • Meets with client to discuss specifications for complex projects, works with client and vendors to determine project options, and facilitates meetings with key client personnel as needed.
  • Completes Gap Analysis, as needed, to define system set-up requirements.
  • Provides consulting and guidance to client on the best approach to meet their business requirements for assigned implementations.
  • Understands client business requirements; communicates between technical groups at client and vendor locations and data maps technical files between systems.
  • Works with client staff and vendors to execute the project plan, ensuring technical tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Identifies and reports outstanding issues to the assigned project manager; assists with issue resolution.
  • Ensures quality in implementation process; communicates technical aspects and requirements of Implementations with third-party vendors and internal Project Support Team.
  • Validates system parameters and conducts testing; modifies program parameters when necessary.
  • Provides technical support to clients during the design, development, and implementation phases of the project.
  • Provides extended hour post-implementation support for projects, and occasional on-site support as needed.
  • Follows change control and appropriate change management processes and helps ensure less tenured Business Analyst- Project Consultants understand and follow these processes.
  • Develops working relationships with clients and internal business partners/ project team members to effectively communicate and successfully deliver complex project implementations.
  • Assists with identifying improvements to the defined processes within the department.
  • Assists with training and mentorship of less tenured Analysts.
  • Assists in developing new product/ service requirements templates and procedural steps.
  • Understands and completes tasks associated with various types of department projects.
  • Provides after-hours on-call support for project installations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent combination experience and education is required.
  • Seven (7) years of related experience in the payment processing industry required.
  • Thorough understanding of payment card products, support services and processes required.
  • Five (5) years of related experience in business or system analysis required.
  • Three (3) years of client facing project support experience required.
  • Experience required completing card processing conversions that require migrating data from one processing platform to another.
  • This role is currently not eligible for sponsorship.
