What you'll do

  • Align on and implement an operating framework with consistent goal setting, reporting cycles, and cross-functional accountability.
  • Drive quarterly and annual planning by translating growth objectives into priorities, resource plans, and investment figures.
  • Own the financial operating picture by partnering with Finance on reporting, driving operational data infrastructure, and ensuring leadership decisions use shared accurate numbers.
  • Define the organization structure, identify gaps, and fill them with quality people.
  • Partner with the CEO on talent recruiting, onboarding, development, engagement, and retention.
  • Build an environment with clear communication, ownership, and team alignment.
  • Architect and implement business operating procedures, including CRM configuration, customer success workflows, GTM tooling, and onboarding processes.
  • Own commercial vendor relationships and ensure material contracts, compliance obligations, and operational risks have clear owners and are proactively managed.
  • Act as a thought partner to the CEO on growth.
  • Help design and build stronger engines for customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.

What they require

  • Operating experience in a $2-10M ARR SaaS business on an upward career trajectory.
  • Experience building operating infrastructure in high-change environments such as high-growth, post-acquisition, founder-led, or operationally complex businesses.
  • High agency and ownership mentality with bias for action, comfort operating in ambiguity, and responsibility for outcomes.
  • People management experience with a track record of earning genuine followership while holding a high performance bar.
  • Strong financial acumen, including comfort reading a P&L, partnering on a budget, and translating growth objectives into operating plans.
  • Execution-oriented and hands-on, with ability to personally build systems, fix operational gaps, and own implementation alongside strategy.
  • Exceptionally organized with high personal standards for follow-through and detail.
  • Clear, precise written and verbal communicator who adapts to audience.
  • Highly proficient, experimental, and ahead of the curve in deploying AI and modern tooling into core workflows.
  • Preferred: Experience leading a distributed team.
  • Preferred: Post-acquisition or M&A integration experience.
  • Preferred: Experience working closely with engineering/product teams.
  • Preferred: GTM fluency including distribution channels, customer lifecycle, pricing, and retention.
  • Periodic travel required for team offsites and client events.
