What you'll do

  • Own Creative Direction Across CGI Outputs
  • Shape visual direction for stills, animations, interactive experiences, and digital product content.
  • Interpret client briefs, identify the visual problem, and translate brand and business requirements into clear creative direction.
  • Build concepts through references, mood boards, storyboards, sketches, style proposals, pitch decks, and direct render feedback.
  • Give CGI teams enough clarity to execute without reducing the creative ambition.
  • Direct Scenes, Renders, and Visual Systems
  • Guide CGI teams on composition, lighting, materials, camera behavior, realism, and look development.
  • Identify whether the issue in a render is lighting, material response, geometry, scale, camera, or compositing.
  • Direct virtual shoots with the same attention a physical shoot requires: product truth, surface response, lens choice, framing, hierarchy, and storytelling.
  • Help teams make products feel tangible, desirable, and accurate.
  • Balance Craft With Scalable Production
  • Work with producers, project managers, creative technologists, and pipeline teams to align creative ambition with scope, timelines, and production constraints.
  • Know when to push for a better image and when to simplify the system so delivery stays reliable.
  • Support workflows where one digital twin may need to produce many assets across markets, variants, channels, or formats.
  • Help define creative rules that can be repeated, automated, and quality-checked without losing visual intent.
  • Lead Quality, Feedback, and Client Alignment
  • Perform creative QA across renders, animations, and interactive outputs.
  • Provide specific, visual, and actionable feedback.
  • Act as a creative partner in client conversations, presenting concepts, explaining decisions, and evolving direction without losing the core visual idea.
  • Help international teams stay aligned on quality, ownership, and craft.

What they require

  • 5+ years of experience in art direction, ideally within CGI, product visualization, digital production, or agency-side visual content.
  • A strong background in CGI art direction, with practical understanding of 3D pipelines, virtual production, lighting, materials, cameras, rendering, animation, and post-production.
  • A portfolio or reel showing strong product storytelling, composition, realism, and visual decision-making.
  • Experience working directly with brands, producers, creative teams, CGI artists, and technical collaborators.
  • Comfort leading creative work under delivery pressure without lowering the bar for visual quality.
  • You live at the intersection of art direction, CGI production, and product visualization.
  • You are not only judging images; you are shaping the system that creates them.
  • A render is never just an image. It is the output of a scene, a pipeline, a set of creative rules, and a production system.
  • You can balance visual ambition with constraints around timing, budget, automation, asset reuse, and client approvals.
  • You prefer clear creative direction over vague taste.
  • You give feedback that artists can act on.
  • You are comfortable moving between categories and learning the visual language of different products, materials, audiences, and brand worlds.

Benefits

  • You’ll work inside a company with deep CGI heritage, production-grade delivery standards, and a platform that connects AI workflows, digital twins, rendering pipelines, and brand-controlled content generation.
  • For a 3D Art Director, this means your work does not stop at a single campaign image.
  • You help define how products are visualized, scaled, automated, and protected across entire content ecosystems.
