California-Licensed Transactional Attorney (Part-Time) - Remote (IL)

About Us Jackson LLP is a boutique healthcare law firm with a client-centered ethos and a friendly work environment. The firm’s work is 99% regulatory or transactional, and we do very little litigation. We seek a part-time attorney to support our transactional and corporate practice. This is a remote position. The attorney must be actively barred in California and reside in Illinois. This is a role for a mid-career attorney with a minimum of four years of post-bar, non-litigation experience. It is well suited to an attorney returning to practice after a career break who is seeking a flexible, part-time role with substantive work and a supportive team. The attorney will work approximately 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule. There is no billable hour requirement. Position Description RESPONSIBILITIES: Draft and review transactional and corporate documents, including contracts, independent contractor agreements, and entity formation materials, in support of the firm’s clients Provide transactional and contracts support on California matters, applying California-specific law where relevant Review and negotiate contract terms on behalf of clients or established practices engaging new personnel Support the firm’s attorneys on day-to-day business and corporate structuring matters for small- to mid-sized healthcare practices and management services organizations Deliver clear, accurate, client-ready work product on agreed timelines Actively engage in continuing education relevant to the firm’s transactional and corporate practice ABOUT THE ATTORNEY ROLE: This is a remote, part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week The attorney may work from the firm’s Evanston office but is not required to do so Salary range is $62,500 to $68,500, commensurate with the part-time schedule The firm offers a benefits package appropriate to a part-time role, including paid time off, paid holidays, and 401(k) eligibility.
