What you'll do

  • Participate in virtual design and coordination meetings, supporting projects from concept through completion
  • Create and update highly accurate CAD/Revit drawings and design deliverables (2D and 3D) including mechanical schematics, line and single-line diagrams, rack elevations, room layouts and routing plans
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and implementation teams to confirm project details and document building and room layouts, cable conveyance paths, power requirements and infrastructure, plenum and non-plenum spaces, signal and transport formats
  • Apply ASG’s drafting standards, cable color codes, labeling, and documentation best practices
  • Assist with creating and reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Conduct quality reviews of designs to catch and correct discrepancies before installation
  • Produce installation-ready wire lists, cable pull sheets, and final design packages for multiple teams
  • Maintain red-line changes and incorporate field updates to ensure design accuracy
  • Support engineering and integration teams, providing solutions to design-related questions throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure all design documentation upholds ASG standards and industry best practices

What they require

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a related technical field—or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 3 years producing mechanical CAD drawings for AV, low-voltage, or systems integration projects
  • Mastery of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and related documentation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sharp attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to thrive remotely
