What you'll do

  • Managing and growing engagement with several Medical customers by developing long-term relationships and exceeding growth expectations.
  • Identifying and landing new business from assigned customers through engagement with globally dispersed sourcing, engineering and divisional teams.
  • Effective marketing activities.
  • Successful communication of the KE package of value (POV).
  • Identifying influencers and decision makers while building strong relationships.
  • Leading specific project or account teams (without direct reports) in support of assigned customer needs.
  • Maintaining salesforce.com customer, opportunity and quote data.
  • Development of cost models and proposals that surpass customer expectations.
  • Appreciation of strategy development and build out of an execution plan.
  • Leading teams (without direct reports) through quote activity, new product introduction and product sustaining activities.
  • Working with all levels of the organization (Customers and internal to KEI).
  • Resolving issues and providing creative solutions.
  • Learn and understand key capabilities of each Kimball Electronics facility (0 to 3 months).
  • Develop a thorough understanding of use of salesforce.com (0 to 3 months).
  • Understand the Kimball Business management process (0 to 3 months).
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Kimball quote development process (0 to 3 months).
  • Begin the prospecting process of identifying opportunities with assigned customer (0 to 3 months).
  • Assume responsibility for assigned customer and growth strategy (0 to 3 months).
  • Identify a minimum of 1 new opportunity per month (3 to 18 months).
  • Update Strategy Statement and review with internal stakeholders quarterly (3 to 18 months).
  • Complete approximately 1 new RFQ per month (3 to 18 months).
  • Consistently exceed revenue growth targets (>18 months).
  • Complete at least two new RFQ’s per quarter (>18 months).
  • Identify and lead improvement processes within the business management processes (ad hoc priorities).

What they require

  • The ability to identify influencers and decision makers to build connections and identify new opportunities.
  • Experience with medical customers and understanding of medical quality and regulatory requirements and what it takes to grow revenue at pace.
  • Detailed orientated and responsive to customer needs.
  • Good appreciation of strategy development and build out of an execution plan.
  • A willingness to travel extensively; both in the USA and internationally.
  • The candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to resolve issues and provide creative solutions.
  • Technically astute with Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) experience and knowledge of associated manufacturing processes.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
