What you'll do

  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives to generate qualified meetings and pipeline in assigned territory
  • Generate new logo opportunities and growth opportunities on existing customer accounts
  • Conduct discovery conversations with target accounts to understand needs and qualify opportunities
  • Create Sales Accepted Opportunities and meet monthly and quarterly BDR-sourced targets
  • Research and prioritize target accounts to identify key players and tailor outreach strategies
  • Execute multi-touch outreach cadences by call, email, social, and other channels
  • Manage, track, and report prospecting activities and pipeline in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams on account lists, campaigns, and call strategies
  • Attend regional marketing events to engage participants and generate leads
  • Document and improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook
  • Mentor new BDR hires
  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives to generate qualified meetings and pipeline in the assigned territory
  • Conduct discovery conversations with target accounts to understand business needs and qualify opportunities
  • Create Sales Accepted Opportunities and meet monthly and quarterly BDR-sourced SAO targets
  • Research and prioritize target accounts to identify key players, compelling events, and tailored outreach strategies
  • Execute multi-touch outreach cadences using calls, email, social channels, and Outreach.io
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams on account lists, campaigns, call strategies, and regional events
  • Document and improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook and mentor new BDR hires
  • Use AI tools such as GitLab Duo, Claude, or similar to enhance prospecting research and outreach

What they require

  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage high-volume outreach, and follow through on prospecting activities
  • Proven experience taking initiative, persisting through setbacks, and independently driving projects or activities to successful outcomes
  • Alignment with GitLab values
  • Knowledge of business process, roles, and organizational structure
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar prospecting and sequencing tools
  • Previous tech industry experience or experience in sales development, marketing, or sales is a plus
  • Ability to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs
  • Proven experience taking initiative and independently driving projects or activities to successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated persistence in pursuing goals and continuously improving results
  • Passion for GitLab's journey
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Comfort using AI tools for research, writing, or workflow automation
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication
