What you'll do

  • Build and maintain relationships with consumer technology companies and device manufacturers for lithium-ion battery collection and recycling partnerships.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for consumer technology partnerships from initial engagement through long-term execution.
  • Manage product qualification processes with customers and coordinate technical requirements and timelines with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure a strong mix of consumer technology partnerships and profitable battery material procurement across sourcing, operating, and logistics costs.
  • Identify customer product roadmaps, sustainability programs, and future growth opportunities in consumer electronics battery sourcing.
  • Understand customer value chains and negotiate contracts including volume, pricing, and terms and conditions.
  • Own business development and operational oversight for Redwood’s Battery Bin program.
  • Develop relationships with Battery Bin host partners such as retailers, municipalities, universities, nonprofits, and public agencies.
  • Develop partnership models and partner-facing materials for Battery Bin deployments.
  • Track and report performance across consumer device partnerships and Battery Bin sites using data to improve targeting, efficiency, cost-to-serve, and economics.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, logistics, legal, policy, communications, and compliance teams.
  • Travel 25% when necessary for meetings, tours, site visits, and program launches.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sustainability, engineering, or related fields.
  • Technical background is a plus.
  • More than 10 years of sales, business, or technical sales experience.
  • Consumer electronics or lithium-ion battery industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience working with or at companies that manufacture, assemble, sell, or repair consumer devices.
  • Deep understanding of consumer technology product lifecycles, sustainability initiatives, and circular economy programs within the consumer electronics industry.
  • Experience building and scaling partner programs, channel programs, or distributed collection and deployment networks.
  • Fluent English for global communication and account management.
  • Strong leadership skills with logical communication.
  • People skills to develop good customer relationships in difficult situations.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking program KPIs and using performance data to inform strategy and improve operations.
  • Entrepreneurial, action-oriented mindset with passion for sustainability.
