Job Summary
The Business Development Executive (BDE) has responsibility for increasing Infobase revenue in a geographic territory. The BDE will directly engage with prospective customers to demonstrate the benefits of Infobase Products and to secure new subscription and cross sale commitments. To fuel success, the BDE will build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders in the assigned territory to understand needs, develop solutions from the full range of Infobase products and secure sales commitments. The position will be responsible for developing strong client relationships through effective communications through all stages of the sale process including initiation, contract negotiation and closing. Through a simple and compelling sales incentive program, the role offers uncapped earning potential for motivated and energetic team members.
Essential Functions
• Identify potential customers through effective market research and strategic planning. Create and execute strategies to acquire new business and to cross sell new services to existing clients
• Develop lead generation and conversion strategies to expand customer base.
• Initiate contact with new and existing customers through a variety of outreach methods (phone calls, email campaigns, Zoom meetings, social media, conferences and events etc.) to understand customer and prospective customer needs.
• Engage in discussions to address customer requirements and concerns effectively.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, features and value.
• Develop solutions that showcase how Infobase products effectively solve customer problems.
• Negotiate prices and contractual terms with customers.
• Ensure agreements align with both customer needs and organizational goals.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive contact list of potential and existing customers.
• Update contact information in CRM regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Foster collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Work with teams across the organization to ensure a cohesive approach to customer relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 5 Years of relevant experience in Sales, Account Management or related role, preferably in the education technology industry.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with electronic resources through library.
- In-depth knowledge of products and industry trends.
- Proven ability to generate leads, convert prospects, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging customers and conveying product value.
- Proficient use of CRM tools to maintain accurate contact lists and manage customer interactions and forecast business.
- Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Dedication to understanding customer needs and solving problems with appropriate products or services.
- Track record of achieving sales targets and goals, with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
