Building Certifier with a current QBCC Level 3 licence minimum for an 11+ month Queensland contract. Needs strong knowledge of Queensland building legislation, QDC and NCC, and experience assessing building development applications. Role is 100% remote but focused on Queensland council certification work.
Our client URGENTLY requires a Building Certifier for an 11 months+ Contract on the Capricorn Coast, Queensland. The Building Certifier will provide assessment and approval of building development applications, predominantly focusing on Class 1a and 10a structures. Operating strictly within the scope of a QBCC Level 3 Building Certifier licence (as a minimum) , the successful candidate will deliver building certification services in accordance with Queensland legislation, council policies, and the National Construction Code. The role is purely assessment-focused; therefore, it can be conducted 100% remotely. Candidates are responsible for addressing Customer Requests (CRs) when technical building advice is required but will not be required to conduct physical on-site stage inspections. Skills and Experience required includes: Hold a current QBCC Licence Building Certifier Level 3 licence (as a minimum). Thorough knowledge of the Building Act , Queensland Development Code (QDC), and NCC. Ability to assess and determine building development and concurrence agency applications. Experience in processing building compliance documentation and issuing final completion certificates. Strong skills in day-to-day council administration, reporting, and official correspondence. Ability to provide specialist technical advice to the public, council units, and stakeholders. Prior Local Government experience would be highly advantageous. Top $'s Paid !
