What you'll do

  • Address the medical necessity of treatment requests.
  • In appeals, address the medical necessity of previously denied services.
  • Complete reviews that average 15-20 minutes each.
  • Conduct advisory-only opinions with no doctor/patient relationship and no treatment provided.
  • Complete cases within required turn-around times, typically 1-5 business days depending on the level of review.
  • Use Dane Street’s work portal and provided medical records and treatment guidelines to complete determinations/reports.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer calls where necessary for adverse determinations.

What they require

  • Current, unrestricted Minnesota Medical License.
  • Active Practice.
  • Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.

  • Dane Street offers initial training as well as an ongoing point of contact should you have any questions about completing reviews.
