Position Summary
One of our healthcare clients is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organized Bilingual Medical Receptionist to support the front-office operations of a busy medical practice.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and have prior experience working as a Medical Receptionist in a medical practice, clinic, hospital, or outpatient healthcare setting. The role requires excellent communication skills, a professional phone presence, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple front-office responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Front-Desk & Phone Support
- Answer inbound patient calls professionally in English and Spanish.
- Provide friendly and professional front-office support to patients.
- Respond to general patient questions regarding appointments, office procedures, and administrative matters.
- Route clinical questions and provider-related requests to the appropriate team member.
- Make outbound calls to patients when follow-up is required.
- Manage incoming messages, faxes, and other patient communications.
Appointment Scheduling
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
- Confirm upcoming appointments and send appointment reminders.
- Coordinate appointments based on provider availability.
- Manage appointment cancellations and assist with filling available openings.
- Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments and rescheduling.
- Maintain accurate appointment schedules.
Patient Registration & Documentation
- Register new patients and collect required demographic information.
- Provide patients with registration and intake forms.
- Follow up with patients regarding missing or incomplete paperwork.
- Update and maintain accurate patient information in the EMR/EHR.
- Ensure patient records and documentation are complete and up to date.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Insurance & Administrative Support
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits when required.
- Collect and accurately document insurance information.
- Assist with basic insurance-related administrative tasks.
- Coordinate with billing staff regarding patient or insurance information.
- Monitor incoming faxes and route or respond to them appropriately.
- Maintain organized front-office records and documentation.
Patient Service
- Provide a welcoming and professional experience to every patient.
- Handle patient concerns and administrative requests with professionalism and empathy.
- Follow up on outstanding administrative matters.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal staff.
- Maintain professionalism when handling sensitive patient information.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in US healthcare
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, spoken and written
- Experience working in a medical practice, clinic, hospital, or outpatient healthcare setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
