What you'll do

  • Identify and prioritize potential strategic partners (primes, integrators, and complementary technology companies) for GRAIL, with additional support for weapons-systems partnership pursuits
  • Build and manage relationships with partner BD, capture, and technical teams to understand their roadmaps and where Tiberius fits
  • Structure, negotiate, and close teaming agreements, MOUs, and other partnership vehicles in coordination with contracts and leadership
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, capability demonstrations, and partnership materials tailored to each partner's priorities
  • Track partner engagement, open asks, and partnership pipeline through the CRM, in coordination with the RevOps Manager
  • Represent Tiberius at industry days, technical forums, and partner-hosted events
  • Work closely with the Capture Manager to align partnership strategy with active and upcoming pursuits
  • Monitor the competitive and partner landscape: who is teaming with whom, and where the openings are for Tiberius
  • Map the partner landscape relevant to GRAIL and to weapons-systems programs, including primes with existing programs of record that Tiberius could plug into
  • Lead first-contact and early-stage relationship building with target partners
  • Own the partnership pipeline: stage, next steps, and owner for every active conversation
  • Coordinate internally with engineering and program teams to scope what a partnership actually requires technically before committing externally
  • Support partner onboarding once agreements are signed, ensuring a clean handoff to program and delivery teams
  • Maintain awareness of ITAR and export-control considerations relevant to sharing technical data with partners

What they require

  • 4+ years of business development or partnerships experience in defense, aerospace, or another government-contracting environment
  • Demonstrated experience structuring and negotiating teaming agreements or strategic partnerships with primes or integrators
  • Strong relationship-building skills across government, industry, and internal technical stakeholders
  • Working understanding of DoD acquisition pathways and how partnerships fit into a capture strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to partner and government audiences
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal structure, building process as you go
  • Preferred: Experience specifically with partnership-building around supply chain, data fusion or targeting-adjacent platforms
  • Preferred: Experience supporting weapons-systems or fires programs, and familiarity with the partners active in that space
  • Preferred: Active or recent TS/SCI clearance, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Preferred: Prior military service or direct experience supporting a DoD program office
  • Preferred: Experience at an early-stage or high-growth defense-tech company, not only a traditional prime
  • A relationship-first operator who can walk into a prime's BD org and leave with a real next step, not just a follow-up email
  • Someone comfortable holding two parallel partnership tracks; GRAIL as the primary focus, weapons systems as a meaningful secondary without losing momentum on either
  • A collaborative teammate who works naturally with capture, engineering, and leadership rather than operating as a lone wolf
  • Comfortable being the first dedicated Partnerships hire: this role sets the partnership process, not just executes one that already exists
  • Bias for action balanced with the judgment to walk away from a partnership that doesn't actually move Tiberius forward

Benefits

  • This role provides the opportunity to build the partnerships function for a rapidly growing aerospace and defense company from the ground up, working directly with the cofounders to turn Tiberius's technical roadmap into a network of prime and integrator relationships that open doors GRAIL and our weapons-systems programs couldn't open alone.
