We're looking for a mid-level engineer to own both backend service development and data engineering on a realtime facility navigation and asset-tracking platform for industrial and logistics sites. The platform ingests live positioning and telemetry data from BLE-based tracking hardware, correlates it into events (e.g., asset pickups, movement, dwell time), and exposes it through backend services to web and mobile clients.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs (C#/.NET) that power the platform's core business logic.
- Implement and maintain the service layer for asset tracking, facility navigation, and event detection features.
- Integrate with third-party positioning/telemetry providers and their APIs.
- Define and evolve API contracts in collaboration with the frontend team (web admin portal and mobile app).
- Write automated tests, participate in code review, and help keep the codebase maintainable as the platform grows.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of backend services in production.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET for backend service development.
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and webhooks.
- Comfortable working with real-time or near-real-time data processing requirements.
- Experience with a major cloud platform (Azure preferred, given the .NET stack).
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a small, cross-functional, fast-moving team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with actor-model or distributed-systems frameworks (e.g., Orleans).
- Background in industrial, logistics, or IoT domains.
