What you'll do

  • Design and build core backend services in Go that evaluate policy against cloud infrastructure changes in real time.
  • Own a core area of the platform end to end, from first design through running it in production.
  • Build the simulation and enforcement path that blocks or auto-remediates non-compliant changes before they reach production.
  • Stay close to customers, see how work lands in the real world, and fold learnings back into the product.

What they require

  • Strong backend engineering experience in a compiled, statically typed language.
  • Already a Go engineer or able to get into Go quickly.
  • Know SQL well and think naturally in relational and columnar data models.
  • Product mindset; care about the user and the problem, not only the ticket.
  • Have opinions about what to build, not just how.
  • Able to take an ambiguous problem, find the simple core, and ship something that solves it.
  • End-to-end ownership from design through production and operation.
  • Hands-on experience operating and running at least one major cloud, including access management, networking, or failure modes.
  • Hands-on with Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Understanding of how infrastructure-as-code behaves in practice.
  • Build with AI coding tools as a normal part of workflow.
  • Have a point of view on where AI coding tools help and where they do not.
  • Deep, hands-on experience in agentic development.
  • Preferred: Background in cloud or cyber security, CSPM, CNAPP, or compliance such as SOC 2, PCI, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
  • Preferred: Experience building policy or rule engines.
  • Preferred: Experience with high-availability, scaling, and eventually-consistent, event-driven system design.

  • Preferred: Early-stage startup experience, or having been a founding engineer before.
