Backend Developer Intern

Role OverviewWe are looking for a motivated Backend Developer Intern to join our development team and help build and improve the backend infrastructure for our mobile application. This is an unpaid 3-month internship providing practical experience working on a real-world mobile application and backend system.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend APIs and services.Work with databases to store and manage application data.Implement user authentication and authorization.Build APIs for user profiles, posts, connections, messaging, and other app features.Integrate frontend/mobile applications with backend APIs.Debug issues and optimize backend performance.Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.Collaborate with mobile developers and UI/UX designers.Participate in testing, debugging, and deployment.RequirementsBasic knowledge of backend development.Proficiency in at least one backend language/framework: Node.js, Express.js, Python, Django, Flask, FastAPI, Java, or Spring Boot.Knowledge of REST APIs.Understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases.Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.Understanding of authentication and authorization.Problem-solving and debugging skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.Nice to HaveExperience building backend projects or APIs.Knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.Experience with Firebase or cloud services.Basic knowledge of Docker.Understanding of API security.Knowledge of real-time communication such as WebSockets or Socket.IO.SkillsNode.jsPythonREST APIsSQLGitBenefitsFlexible scheduleWork from home (Remote)
