What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and configure greenfield enterprise-grade Azure landing zones aligned with Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and enterprise best practice.
  • Lead discovery, technical design, and the iterative development of the Azure platform, balancing quick wins with long-term platform scalability.
  • Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).
  • Execute end-to-end integration of the new Azure landing zones with existing on-premise legacy estates and hybrid networking environments.
  • Support the implementation, configuration, and adoption of Microsoft Fabric along with its associated Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse).
  • Collaborate directly with the Solution Director, Lead Architects, and key delivery stakeholders to refine and execute the platform roadmap.
  • Conduct technical peer reviews, champion engineering best practices, and mentor mid-level engineers within the delivery team.

What they require

  • Deep expertise as an Azure Platform Expert with extensive hands-on experience engineering enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Proven track record of setting up greenfield enterprise-grade Azure Landing Zones from initial architecture through to production delivery.
  • Strong experience integrating Azure with on-premise legacy estates and infrastructure (e.g., ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, hybrid identity, enterprise networking).
  • Hands-on experience integrating and supporting Microsoft Fabric and its connected Azure data ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to discover technical requirements and develop cloud platforms iteratively within modern agile environments.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep) and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills across both technical teams and senior leadership.
  • Occasional travel to Stoke will be required for face-to-face workshops.
