What you'll do

  • Make field service calls both local and out of state at times with little advance notice and possibility for extended periods of time.
  • Integration support which includes teaching, adjustment, calibration, and diagnosing issues related to the system.
  • Commissioning of systems at customer location.
  • Attend all kick-off meetings asked by customers.
  • Final buy-off of installation using an installation buy-off guide and document any open issues and/or exceptions related to the cell equipment.
  • Assure that all equipment at assigned customer plants operate at maximum target reliability levels or provide written documents to the Technical Field Manager for exceptions.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment to component level using various test equipment (i.e. oscilloscope, multi-meter, chart recorder, etc.).
  • Record service reports and update plant inventory after all visitations utilizing SalesForce.com (SFDC FSL).
  • Maintain plant information database to include equipment performance and customer satisfaction surveys on all related product lines (SFDC FSL).
  • Log all open issues and follow them through to completion.
  • Assist customers in identifying and ordering spare parts and capital equipment.
  • File accurate expense reports in a timely manner.

What they require

  • 2+ years of experience in an electrical / electronic equipment troubleshooting.
  • Typically will travel 30% to customer sites; up to 50% travel for special projects.
  • Experience with robot / PLC interfacing including basic ladder logic.
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of SWS and SPR systems.
  • Basic understanding of safety circuits and commissioning systems.
  • Ability to program systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot at an intermediate level.
  • Electronic technology degree or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree desirable.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN etc).
