What you'll do

  • Manage study-level site payment activities, ensuring project milestones, quality standards, and contractual deliverables are achieved.
  • Plan, prioritize, and communicate study-specific activities to project team members, ensuring work is completed on schedule and in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Mentor and support junior team members by providing guidance and training on site payment processes and best practices.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation and action plans, and escalate issues appropriately to ensure successful study delivery.
  • Act as the functional lead for assigned studies by analyzing and interpreting financial reports, monitoring project financial health, initiating contract modifications, and ensuring projects are appropriately resourced.
  • Generate study- and program-level KPIs and performance metrics to support operational decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary Site Payments contact for Sponsors, Project Leads, Clinical Team Managers, and other key stakeholders, providing regular project updates and delivering tailored solutions to meet FSP client needs.
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings, communicating study progress, financial status, risks, and action plans.

What they require

  • Master's degree preferably in Finance area, or a related field
  • Proven experience with Site Payments processes, systems, and technologies.
  • General understanding of clinical research, pharmaceutical development, and financial principles related to clinical trial site payments.
  • Solid understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, timelines, quality, cost, and financial management.
  • Experience working within the Functional Service Provider (FSP) model is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, including establishing clear communication and escalation pathways.
  • Strong organizational, planning, negotiation, presentation, and coordination skills, with demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting project and financial data, preparing accurate forecasts, and identifying client-specific needs to develop effective payment solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead study-related activities with minimal supervision while proactively identifying and resolving project issues.
  • Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Site Payment platforms, EDC systems, ticketing and financial applications.
  • Solid understanding of ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP), applicable country regulations, tax requirements, and other regulatory requirements related to clinical trial payment management.
