What you'll do

  • Design and own outcomes measurement frameworks capturing clinical improvement, sustained functioning, return-to-productivity.
  • Analyze longitudinal outcomes data (symptom severity, engagement, recovery trajectories).
  • Build validated, scalable methods for measuring clinical effectiveness.
  • Partner with Data, Product, Tech, Legal for outcomes infrastructure.
  • Set quality metrics and benchmarks for clinical program effectiveness.
  • Lead original research studies from design to dissemination.
  • Co-author studies with external academic partners.
  • Author peer-reviewed manuscripts for high-impact journals.
  • Own publication pipeline, collaboration, journal selection.
  • Set research agenda aligned to strategy and product.
  • Translate findings into evidence assets (white papers, summaries, briefs).
  • Partner with Value Management on VOI/ROI analyses.
  • Equip sales and client management with evidence-based talking points.
  • Build case study frameworks and employer-specific outcome reports.
  • Track digital mental health evidence landscape and benchmarking.
  • Serve as thought partner across product, value, data, GTM.
  • Present research to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Identify evidence gaps, research investment priorities.
  • Support regulatory and reporting evidence needs.

What they require

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Public Health, Behavioral Science, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of postdoctoral or industry research experience with increasing scope and independence in digital health, managed behavioral health, or health plan settings preferred.
  • Peer-edited publication record in mental health, digital health, or health outcomes research.
  • Fluent in longitudinal data analysis and at least one statistical platform (R, Python, SPSS, Stata).
  • Has designed and run IRB-approved studies using real-world or platform data.
  • Working knowledge of mental health PROMs (WHO-5, PHQ-9, GAD-7).
  • Convert findings into plain language.
  • Build evidence with commercial application in mind.
  • Equally comfortable presenting to academic peers and executive audiences.
  • Must maintain work authorization without employer sponsorship.
