Oklo is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Energy & Regulatory to join its Legal team and play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy at scale. This role is central to Oklo’s efforts to develop, build, and scale its advanced fission power plants, requiring deep expertise in energy regulatory law and hands-on experience with FERC and State Public Utility Commission (PUC) matters.
The Associate General Counsel will lead Oklo’s FERC, State PUC, and interconnection-related legal work, representing the company in regulatory proceedings and supporting interconnection agreements and processes. The role also involves monitoring and engaging in regulatory rulemaking, collaborating closely with government affairs on legislative initiatives, and supporting pre-construction regulatory and zoning efforts—including environmental reviews and local permitting. This position works in coordination with Oklo’s nuclear regulatory team but focuses on non-nuclear energy regulatory matters.
Ideal candidates will have 7–10 years of energy regulatory experience, including substantive FERC practice, State PUC filings, and generator interconnection processes. Experience in energy-related public policy, legislative affairs, and cross-functional collaboration is essential. The role requires a detail-oriented, agile attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is motivated to tackle complex regulatory challenges as part of a lean, mission-driven team.
