What you'll do

  • Lead, supervise, and release the programming and research of fund tax loss harvesting process for fixed income, pure equity, and mixed funds.
  • Build out optimization engines and machine learning pipelines and develop rigorous and scalable data management/analysis tools to support data-intensive quantitative investment process.
  • Improve user interface tools to consolidate investment risk/return characteristics.
  • Utilize Python and statistical modeling to test and optimize client accounts and build regression analysis and comparative testing.
  • Engineer and compare different optimization solvers and suggest alternative business provider solution(s).
  • Resolve conflicts in tax optimization matrix record between trading threshold and restriction and improve optimization feasibility.
  • Simulate tax alpha for active and passive strategies and analyze relative tax loss harvesting capabilities across varying portfolio composition, rebalance frequency, lot relief methodology, and turnover.
  • Clarify released optimization features through cross-department communications.
  • Lead fund tax loss harvesting initiatives and improve existing pipelines.

What they require

  • Requires a Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent.
  • Must include three (3) years of experience with the listed responsibilities, skills and/or tools.
  • Experience building out optimization engines and machine learning pipelines and developing scalable data management/analysis tools.
  • Experience with Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) and Bi-directional Encoder Representation from Transformers (BERT), boosted tree, and relative valuation PCA dimensionality reduction.
  • Experience utilizing Python and statistical modeling for testing and optimization, including regression analysis and comparative testing.
  • Experience engineering and comparing different optimization solvers and recommending alternative provider solutions.
  • Experience simulating tax alpha and analyzing tax loss harvesting across portfolio compositions and methodologies.
  • Ability to lead cross-department communications and clarify released optimization features.
