What you'll do

  • Managing district-level, higher education, and small state proposals, including developing proposal timelines, coordinating cross-organizational stakeholders, developing communication plans, facilitating stakeholder reviews, and integrating feedback
  • Supporting the Director with large state-level RFPs and reviews and uplevels AI-generated or Loopio-sourced draft content
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure proposals are drafted, finalized, approved, and delivered on time
  • Partnering with the Director of Contract Management to assemble proposal materials and confirming bid requirements
  • Identifying and completing required government forms and corporate information within proposals for state, district, and higher education RFPs; automating or streamlining form completion through AI-assisted tools where possible
  • Leading process and workflow redesign initiatives to automate or AI-assist manual steps and building team-wide practices
  • Developing and maintaining training plans for RFP process training across stakeholders and effective use of Loopio and its native AI tools
  • Participating in key working groups and representing SDP as requested
  • Developing and communicating proposal timelines and milestones across working groups for district and higher education proposals and supporting state-level RFPs
  • Establishing and managing communication channels to keep stakeholders aligned throughout the proposal lifecycle
  • Assessing proposal development success metrics and translating findings into actionable recommendations
  • Developing and delivering training for relevant staff on identifying funding opportunities and contributing to proposal responses, including Loopio and AI-assisted tools
  • Supporting evaluation and adoption of emerging tools and technologies—AI-assisted drafting, competitive analysis, workflow automation—through piloting and sharing recommendations
  • Participating in divisional and organizational projects or planning groups as needed

What they require

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in proposal management or competitive bid development
  • K-12 education or education policy background preferred
  • Proficiency in proposal management platforms (Loopio preferred), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint), and Slack
  • B.A. or B.S. Required
  • The ability to travel 3-4 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business
  • The ability to periodically lift boxes weighing 5-10 pounds
